Dallam County will hold general elections for Federal, State and Local Offices on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Inside this section of Dallam County On-Line, are listings for general information about the elections, a list of polling places, a map of voting precincts inside the city of Dalhart and a map of voting precincts County Wide. General Information:

The November 6th election will be under the direction of the Dallam County Clerk's Office. For any questions, concerns, details, etc... please contact Terri Banks at (806)244-4751.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday November 6, 2012 at all polling places.

Early voting may be done at The Dallam County Clerk's Office in the Dallam County Courthouse, 414 Denver, Suite 201, Dalhart, Texas from Monday October 22, 2012 until Friday, November 2, 2012. Office hours are 8 a.m to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Vote by Mail Voters who wish to vote by mail must meet certain qualifications and must also vote during the 2 week early voting period. If you have questions about early voting or would like to request an application for ballot by mail, please contact Terri Banks Dallam County Clerk, at 806-244-4751 or by email at clerk@dallam.org Applications must be received by the Clerk's Office no later than the close of business on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in order to meet the deadlines.

Qualifications for voting by mail include:

Expected absence from the county on Election Day and during early voting

You are sick or disabled

You are 65 years of age or older on Election Day

You are confined in jail, but eligible to vote
