Long time Dallam County Commissioner for Precinct 4, Leonard "Eulan" Sheets retired on September 30th after more than 30 years of service to Dallam County.

Sheets, 78, had served as Precinct 4 Commissioner since the 1960s, helping to provide leadership for both the County and the area through dramatic changes in the past thirty years.

Both Eulan and his wife Brooksie have been long time residents and active members of the Texline community. In addition to being a Commissioner, Eulan was an original member of the Texas Association of Counties as well as being Judge Pro Tem of the Commissioners' Court for over a decade.

Upon retirement, Eulan moved to Dumas in order to be closer to his children.
